All our studs are direct decedents from Richard Purcell Llewellin, Esq. personal bloodlines known as his personal Dashing Bondhu bloodline for 50 years. We are working with pure Dashing Bondhu bloodlines mainly imported directly from Mr. Humphrey and grandson Cris Sorenson of Whales, UK with a small amount from Fr. Brannon of Ireland, who turns out to be best of friends with the Humphrey family and traded homes/kennels during summer months. We also have some from a pure Humphrey male imported later from Belgium. Please, keep in mind that they ALL 100% originated from Richard Purcell Llewellin, Esq. personal kennel years earlier, and that Fr. Brannon and the Belgium breeder continued to work very closely with Mr. William Humphrey, who personally inherited all of Mr. Llewellin's Dashing Bondhu Setters in 1925 and bred them until his passing in 1963 and made 41 foot hunting judged Field Champions. Mountain View Kennel, LLC. is combining the purest Dashing Bondhu bloodlines available in the world WITHOUT the addition of ANY American Llewellin Setter bloodlines what so ever! We have tried for years to locate any more pure Dashing Bondhu bloodlines anywhere in the world and to the best of our knowledge, these represent all the remaining pure lines of Dashing Bondhu left in the world. In fact, no one else is able to produce 100% Humphrey bred pup unless they purchased some from our kennel. ALL our adult Llewellin Setters are listed on our website, so our customer's will know the size of our kennel. Some may think we have a big kennel. We maintain just enough of these wonderful Setters that are required to preserve and continue a healthy genetic breeding program of these OUTSTANDING, but rare bloodline in a pure form. We also have NOTHING to hide and show 5 generation pedigrees of every dog so you can see they are pure without any of the many American bloodlines in them. You don't have to be a knowledgeable dog breeder to see in their pedigrees first hand the many years of dedication and selective breeding of only selecting the very best Setters with the very purest bloodlines to continue to reproduce the very best natural foot hunting gun dogs and family companions ever developed in the World generation after generation. our studs and dams are Gun Dog Certified "GDC"
before they are selected for breeding. They
must prove to an IPDBA inspector that they
will hunt, hold point, be shot over, retrieve
shot birds to hand, and will back (honor)
another dog pointing to the inspector's
satisfaction to receive a "GDC" official title
on their registration papers. No dogs are ever
added if any force training or electric
collars are ever needed in their training.
This assures our pups are out of only the most

Color: Tri-Color (White, Black, Tan, & Ticked) Our Hank was named after his famous grand sire H/F GDC Henry Princeof Pause aka OLN's Hank and was 100% born NATURAL and outstanding bird dog extraordinaire, with very strong pointing, retrieving, backing instincts, and a super strong willingness to please that has ever been created. There is simply no better example of what a pure Dashing Bondhu Llewellin Setter is supposed to be. He was the true essence of 'Man's Best Friend" and a "biddable" dog and put that in every single son and daughter he produced, regardless the dam he was bred with.
He had outstanding scenting ability, pointing single native quail 40 yards at times. Very intelligent, and pointed solid on his first live bird (native wild quail) and made a perfect double retrieve after his first point. He continued to be an outstanding reliable bird dog and BEST FRIEND day in and day out. We could never leave Hank home, because the guys all wanted him with us. He was DOUBLE bred Dashing Chess Bondhu (Blaze's litter-mate) and is truly a credit to his exceptional breeding. Basically, being a Natural was no mistake and either are his pups. Our Hank is also proving to be an OUTSTANDING reproducer of NATURAL pointing, retrieving, and backing foot hunting bird dogs. 100% outstanding reports on all his pups so far.
Our Family Annual Hunts will never be the same without him and he is missed by all who ever knew him, or hunted with him. Thank God we have so many amazing sons and daughters around the world, these include, Hank's Royal Flush, GDC Dashing Bondhu Babe, GDC Dashing Bondhu Miss, GDC Dashing Bondhu HanksRingo, GDC Dashing Bondhu Hank II, GDC Dashing Bondhu Lady, Dashing Bondhu Rosette, and hundreds of other OUTSTANDING family companions and natural gun dogs placed around the world.
Hank WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED and our hunts will NEVER be the same without "Ole' Reliable"! His hunting buddy since day one GDC Dashing Bondhu Ringo will also miss him, they brought the best out of each other and loved honoring each other, not only on point, but on the retrieve as well. They were the first dogs we ever saw honor both point and the retrieve. They were very competitive, but we could tell they had a great respect for one anothers ability to locate birds and do their job well.
Hank's pedigree shows he was only a few generations from the last Llewellin Setter's directly from Humphrey's and Fr. Brannon's kennels that were imported in the 1960's and 1980's.
